Well, GAMERZ represents a new chapter in cinematic history - the Celtic campus comedy. It is also the first ever Scottish film to feature live goblins. And rest assured this is one film where 'dragon in the third act' can only be a good thing!

The hero of our tale is Ralph (Ross Finbow), a peculiar young nerd from a scheme who’s on his way to uni. Life's one long session of 'Neds Vs Nerd' where Ralph lives - but he escapes from this cruel reality by retreating into his darkened bed chamber and creating these insanely detailed fantasy game worlds. Forget World of Warcraft, this is old skool Dungeons and Dragons, and Ralph is firmly in control as “Game Keeper” of his domain.

Ralph is an alpha-nerd, and when he gets to uni he immediately takes over the fantasy role-playing society in a ruthless coup. The players soon fall under his spell. And they're almost as weird as he is: neurotic risk management student Davy (Johnny Austin), metal-head dropout theology student and flatulent masturbating machine Hank (Ross Sutherland) and, most importantly, the beautiful Marlyn (Danielle Stewart), a seriously crazy Goth chick who honestly believes she is an elf. She pricks up her ears as soon as Ralph arrives, and vice versa.

But there’s a fly in the ointment: Ralph’s old enemy from the hood, minor yet ambituous dope dealer Lennie (James Young). Lennie watched a LORD OF THE RINGS triple bill while on acid, and is now seriously into all things fantasy. Now he’s desperate to take part in Ralph’s game. Ralph agrees to let him play in order to avoid a doing. But he soon regrets it when fluids flow between Lennie and Marlyn. So, the seeds of a bitter, epic, nerd-vs-ned love-triangle are sown, and the story soon snowballs towards an inexorable apocalyptic explosion of freakish, geekish angst!
